- Refunds
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing quality service and customer satisfaction. If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, we kindly ask for no less than 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled time.
Refund Eligibility:
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are not eligible for a refund.
How to Request a Refund:
To request a refund, please contact us at info@handynyc.me or text 917-498-4494 with your name, booking details, and reason for cancellation. All approved refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days.

- Warranty
Warranty Policy – 30-Day Service Guarantee
At HandyNYC me inc, we take pride in the quality of our work and stand behind the services we provide. That’s why we offer a 30-day warranty on all labor performed.
What’s Covered:
- This warranty covers labor and workmanship on services provided by HandyNYC me inc for 30 calendar days from the date of service completion.
- If an issue arises due to our workmanship within this period, we will return to fix it at no additional cost.
What’s Not Covered:
- Materials or products supplied by the customer.
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or unauthorized repairs or alterations.
- Normal wear and tear or issues unrelated to the original service.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim:
To submit a claim, please contact us at info@handynyc.me with your service date, description of the issue, and any relevant photos. Claims must be made within the 30-day window.
We are committed to your satisfaction and will do our best to resolve any valid concerns promptly.

- Payment
Payment Policy
At HandyNYC me inc, we value transparency and prompt payment for services rendered. Please review our payment terms below:
Standard Payment Terms:
- Full payment is due immediately upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit card/paypal.
Extended Terms (NET 7 / NET 14):
- Clients may request NET 7 (payment due within 7 days) or NET 14 (payment due within 14 days) terms.
- These terms must be agreed upon in writing before services are performed.
- If extended terms are approved, payment must be made in full by the agreed due date.
Late Payments:
- Payments not received by the due date may be subject to late fees and/or suspension of future services.
- Continued non-payment may result in collection action and additional costs to the client.
- HandyNYC me inc reserves the right to proceed with legal action against the client if the client does not pay within 90 days upon completion of services.

- Materials
Materials and Extra Time Policy
At HandyNYC me inc , our standard hourly rate covers labor only. Please review the following policy regarding materials and additional time not included in the base labor pricing:
Materials:
- Any materials, supplies, or parts purchased to complete your project are not included in the hourly labor rate.
- These items will be charged separately and itemized on the final invoice.
- Whenever possible, we will communicate anticipated material needs and estimated costs in advance.
Extra Time:
- Time spent on material acquisition (e.g., travel to and from stores) or project-related tasks outside of direct labor may be billed as additional time, especially if it exceeds what was originally anticipated.
- This additional time will be clearly noted and charged at the standard hourly rate, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon in writing.
Final Invoice:
- All material costs and any additional time will be added to the final invoice along with a breakdown for your review.
- Full payment is due according to our standard Payment Policy (due upon completion unless NET terms are approved in writing).
We aim for transparency and fairness in all billing. Please feel free to discuss material or time-related questions before or during your service appointment.
- Damages
Damage Responsibility Policy
At HandyNYC me inc, we take great care to perform all services with professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for your property. However, we understand that accidents can happen during the course of work. Please review our policy regarding potential damages:
Our Responsibility:
- We accept responsibility for any direct damage caused by our negligence or improper workmanship during the performance of our services.
- If damage is determined to be our fault, we will make reasonable efforts to repair or replace the affected item(s) or area(s), or reimburse you for the cost of necessary repairs, at our discretion.
- All damage claims must be reported within 3 business days of service completion.
Limitations:
We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing issues, structural weaknesses, or hidden defects (e.g., water damage, rotted wood, faulty wiring) that contribute to or worsen damage during normal service.
- Damage resulting from customer-supplied materials, instructions, or modifications made by third parties.
- Incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, revenue, or time.
Reporting Damage:
To report damage, please contact us at [insert contact information] with a description, photos if possible, and your service date. We will evaluate the claim promptly and work toward a fair resolution.
Our goal is to deliver quality workmanship with minimal disruption to your space and full accountability when issues arise.
- Insurance time frame
Certificate of Insurance (COI) Policy
At HandyNYC me inc ,we understand that some clients—especially commercial entities, HOAs, or property managers—may require proof of insurance prior to the start of services. We are happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request.
COI Request Process:
- Clients must submit a written request for a Certificate of Insurance via email or our contact form.
- Please include any specific language, additional insured names, or special endorsements required by your organization.
- A processing fee may apply for COI requests that include custom language or additional insured listings.
Processing Time:
- COI requests typically take 3–5 business days to process and issue.
- We recommend submitting your request as early as possible to avoid scheduling delays.
Payment & Refund Policy:
- Any payment associated with the issuance of a COI is non-refundable once the certificate has been delivered, regardless of whether the service proceeds.

- Time frame of arrival
Arrival Window Policy
At HandyNYC me inc, we strive to provide reliable and timely service. However, due to the nature of handyman work, which can vary in duration and complexity, all appointments are scheduled with a two-hour arrival window.
What This Means:
- The time you select or are scheduled for represents the start of a two-hour window during which your technician may arrive.
- For example, a 10:00 AM appointment means the technician may arrive anytime between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- This window helps us manage unexpected delays such as extended job times or traffic, while still providing quality service to all clients.
If We Miss the Arrival Window:
- If we fail to arrive within the scheduled two-hour window without prior communication:
- You are entitled to a free reschedule at a time convenient to you.
- If you choose to cancel the service instead of rescheduling, you may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on the nature of the delay and whether any costs (such as travel or materials) were already incurred.
Communication:
- We will do our best to keep you informed of any delays or changes.
- If you have time-sensitive access requirements or restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

- Parking
Vehicle Parking Fee Policy
At HandyNYC me inc, we make every effort to ensure that your service is completed efficiently and professionally. If parking fees are required for our technician’s vehicle during the course of the job, the following applies:
Parking Fees:
- The customer is responsible for any parking fees incurred during the technician’s service.
- This includes metered parking, parking garages, or any other parking charges that are necessary for the technician to complete the job.
Payment of Parking Fees:
- Parking fees will be added to the final invoice and must be paid along with the cost of services rendered.
- If the job site requires special parking arrangements (such as permits or private lot access), the customer must provide prior notice and handle the necessary arrangements.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that parking fees do not disrupt the progress of the job.
- Tools
Tools & Equipment Policy
At HandyNYC me inc, we come prepared with a set of basic tools to handle most standard handyman jobs. This allows us to complete your service efficiently and on time.
What We Bring:
- Our technicians arrive with a standard toolkit suitable for common repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks.
- If your project requires specialized tools or equipment, you must notify us in advance when booking the service.
Special Tool Requirements:
- If a specific or uncommon tool is needed and we are informed ahead of time, we will do our best to bring it or acquire it.
- If we do not have the special tool available, the customer has two options:
- Purchase the tool and allow us to use it during the service.
- Rent the tool from a local supplier, with the rental cost added to your final invoice.
Failure to Notify:
- If a specialized tool is required but was not communicated before the appointment, and we are unable to proceed:
- The current visit will still be billed for the technician’s time spent on-site.
- A separate appointment will need to be scheduled once the proper tools are available.
We encourage all clients to provide detailed job descriptions at the time of booking to avoid unnecessary delays or additional charges. Please reach out if you are unsure whether your task may require special tools.
- Outside our covrege area
Coverage Area & Trip Charge Policy
At HandyNYC me inc, our primary service area includes the 5 boroughs of New York City. However, we are happy to offer our services to clients outside this area within the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut).
Trip Charges:
- For locations outside of the 5 boroughs of New York City, a trip charge will be applied. The exact amount of the trip charge will depend on:
- The distance from our base location.
- The time required for travel.
- Any special tools or equipment needed for the job.
How Trip Charges Are Calculated:
- The trip charge will be calculated based on mileage and time, and will be added to the regular service price.
- This charge helps cover the additional costs of travel, fuel, and potential tool transportation.
Service Availability:
- We are happy to serve clients in the tri-state area. However, please note that services outside the primary coverage area may require advanced scheduling to accommodate the additional time for travel.
